| The main benefit of TapDial
shows in your PDA's Application Launcher. Contacts you create with
TapDial show as red buttons among your other applications - making
it just as easy to start a phone call as it is to launch an
application...
To create TapDial contacts, launch the
TapDial application. You begin in the TapDial launcher. This gives
you a list of all the TapDial buttons that you have. You can dial
contacts directly from the TapDial screen simply by pressing one
of the buttons.
To move among the selected buttons use
the arrow buttons on your PDA. You can delete the selected entry
by choosing Delete from the menu.
To create a new TapDial contact, press
the New button. This lets you enter the name and number of a
contact, as well as the label that is shown in the Application
Launcher.
You can select entries from your Phone Book as well as enter them
directly.
When you create a new TapDial button it
will automatically show up in your regular Application Launcher.
This gives you a very quick and very easy way to start a phone
call - just tap the button! TapDial buttons have a red background,
so that they stand out from your other applications.
TapDial buttons can be managed by your
Application Launcher like any other application. They can be
deleted or beamed, for example - and are backed up by HotSync.
- All TapDial contacts are placed in a special TapDial category in your launcher
- Contacts are sorted alphabetically, use punctuation characters (like a space) to bring contacts to the top of the list
- Use the Preferences Application to assign contacts to 'Hard Buttons' - making it even easier to call your most frequent contacts
TapDial works seamlessly on all Palm OS
smartphones and communicators, and all Palm OS PDA's with
bluetooth or IR connections to mobile phones.
